The Rayza RX555 is designed for dry or slightly oily conditions, but has the addition of a thumb-crotch reinforcement. This provides added durability to the area between thumb and first finger, which tends to wear down at a faster rate in abrasive environments.

The Importance of Correct Glove Size
Glove size matters more than you think
In some industries, hand injuries typically make up between 28% and 65% of all recorded injuries. These range from minor nicks to life-changing damage – and sometimes, even amputations.
What are the most common problems associated with wearing the wrong-sized gloves?
- Decrease in comfort
- When gloves are too big they increase irritation, if they are thermal gloves they also allow cold air in and so do not keep hands warm.
- When gloves are too small they can restrict blood flow which causes a tingling sensation in your fingertips. If circulation is compromised, this can increase in swelling of the hands.
- Loss of functionality
- When gloves are too big they lose dexterity, precision and grip becoming a hindrance to everyday tasks. Touchscreen compatibility is also affected.
- When gloves are too small they affect the flexibility of the hand, further impacting work.
- Loss of vital protection
- Loose gloves can get caught, especially dangerous in revolving parts of machinery, this leads to injury.
- When gloves are too small they do not protect the wrist adequately where one of our vital veins is located, this could lead to death.
All of the above inevitably lead to the removal of gloves, which means zero protection and hand injuries begin to occur.

The Rayza RX589, is arguably the most innovative impact glove out there. With hand injury reduction at the heart of its development, the RX589 has been designed with feedback from a broad range of industry sectors where there is a high risk of injury from impact and where hand injury numbers have been increasing. Our product team looked closely at ‘why’ impact injuries were happening, this uncovered a definite need for a more FLEXIBLE, DURABLE and PROTECTIVE impact glove. So, we set about developing the Rayza RX589, a glove that would was designed with no compromise in any area.

Supporting EASST charity and sister charity, Fire Aid
STALSEN are proud to be supporting the charity EASST, Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport and their sister charity FIRE AID.
Both charities have received a donation of STALSEN gloves to help across a variety of projects in multiple countries.

So far, STALSEN gloves have reached the following projects through the EASST:
- Emergency service officers in the Lviv region of Ukraine
- The City Road Police in Ukraine, who received the gloves as an appreciation for their co-operation in a research project to increase the use of child car seats
- The fire service in the city of Korosten (Zhytomyr region) with whom they have close links and ongoing projects providing post-crash care equipment and training.
In addition, FIRE AID is planning to send STALSEN gloves to the Fire Service of Maldova where they are working with firefighters who have no gloves for any activity.

Taking care of your hands this Winter
Safety is important 365 days a year, but it is especially important during the winter months, when there are weather hazards everywhere you turn.
Working on sites in the cold can present many risks but keeping hands warm is one of the most important keys to staying safe.
So why is keeping hands warm so important?
We lose heat at our extremities (fingers and toes) before we lose heat in our core. In essence they get cold to keep our trunk warm.
This cold response can have potentially dangerous side effects for our hands; we’ll start to experience effects such as decreased hand dexterity, grip strength, sensitivity and mobility – all the things that make our hands such indispensable tools.
Not only does this mean we can’t do our job as well as we should be able to, continued exposure to cold can even lead to frostbite and other problems such as hypothermia.
Wearing gloves may seem the obvious answer to all of this. However, there are lots of thermal glove options out there – so, where do you start?

What are the important things to look for with a thermal glove?
- Check the mechanical protection – in cold weather, it’s so easy to focus on thermal protection to combat the cold risks. However, the risks of cuts and abrasions are still very much there, the risks that come with cold weather are an additional risk. It’s important that a winter glove doesn’t compromise on cut protection in favour of thermal protection.
- Check the dexterity of a glove, or simply – can the task be done while wearing the glove? A lot of thermal gloves can be thick and cumbersome, which means it’s likely the gloves will need to be removed to carry out the task, and that will leave hands unprotected against the weather, as well as unprotected against all other risks in the workplace.
- Check for waterproofing – select a glove that is water-repellent or waterproof if it’s going to be worn when working in wet or damp conditions. Our body heat decreases much faster if the insulation inside our gloves is wet, so it’s important to keep gloves dry to keep hands warm.
Getting the best out of thermal gloves
- There are a couple of further tips we’d like to share to help get the best of the thermal gloves:
- Put thermal gloves on before you leave a warm environment to enter the cold. This may seem basic, but our body heat is as valuable as gold in cold environments, and we need to do everything we can to retain it. As with many things in life, prevention is better than cure!
Wear the right size gloves – a thermal glove should fit your hand properly. A pair of gloves that are too big allows the cold wind to enter. This in turn means the gloves won’t perform effectively as an insulating barrier against your skin, as well as reducing dexterity and grip strength. On the other hand, gloves that are too small or tight can compromise circulation as well as increase sweating, which actually makes your hands colder, and also are very uncomfortable to wear. - Gloves with slightly extended cuffs can be fastened under jacket sleeves, so that there’s no exposure to the elements around the wrist and lower arm area.
In conclusion, to keep hands safe, warm and working in the winter months, it’s important that wearers are issued gloves that not only insulate their hands, but also provide sufficient levels of cut protection and functionality.

We are excited to launch our safest chemical gauntlet yet, the Rayza RX575.
The RAYZA RX575 combines maximum cut protection (index F) with a superior nitrile barrier; resistant to multiple chemicals (including resistance to Heptane, a bi-product of petroleum), oils, fungi and bacteria.
Also certified for contact level 1 heat resistance, this gauntlet is designed to protect on every front. In fact, it surpasses the industry standards for combined chemical, heat and cut protection.
The increased length compared to a typical gauntlet ensures protection for the lower arm, where there could be a risk of liquid or chemical splashes or leakages.
The unique NBR palm coating also provides excellent grip when handling wet or oily parts, while also increasing the durability of the glove.

In a league of their own as the thinnest gloves with the maximum cut protection (level F), they offer unrivalled dexterity and flexibility.
Designed for even the fiddliest of tasks, this range is perfect for where manual precision and touch sensitivity are required. For example, M&E, signalling, technology, communications. In fact, such is the advanced engineering of this range, three-digit gloves that offer no protection to fingertips or disposable nitrile gloves for precision tasks are now a thing of the past, as is the common requirement to remove gloves to carry out work.

21-gauge is brand-new technology, enabling us to develop gloves that are over 16% thinner than the current ‘thinnest 18-gauge’, and 40% thinner than the standard ‘thin 15-gauge’. Delivering the most second skin-like feel.

Ground-breaking new thermal range
We are excited to launch the Rayza RX553 and Rayza RX567; gloves cleverly designed and engineered to keeps hands working this winter.

THE STORY OF DEVELOPMENT
After working closely with our clients, we identified that there were no gloves on the market that combined high cut resistance, thermal properties and also maintained high levels of dexterity for wearers. This led to wearers compromising on protection (i.e. wearing a thinner low cut resistant glove) in favour of wearing a warmer glove with no effect on functionality so that they could continue their daily work. In compromising on protection in order to keep hands warm, clearly significantly increases the risk of injury to hands.
At STALSEN, we set about to challenge the status quo; there had to be a way to engineer a glove that didn’t compromise on protection, warmth, comfort or functionality for the wearer.
THE RAYZA RX553
The Rayza RX553 is a truly ground-breaking thermal glove that uses latest technologies to answer the unmet need. Clients who have trialled the glove have labelled it ‘the witchcraft glove’ due its clever combination of properties:
- Ultra-lightweight very high (index E) cut resistant liner
- Lightweight double thermal polyester layer (the same material as long-johns)
- Touchscreen compatibility
HOW IT WORKS
There’s no bulky material to keep hands warm here, it works simply by trapping body heat to help regulate the temperature of your hands – so they are not too hot and not too cold!

THE RAYZA RX567
The Rayza RX567 is a winner for winter. Suitable to anyone working in cold, wet, outdoor environments, it really is the answer for these harsh winter conditions. The following key properties work together:
- Fleece liner for ultimate warmth
- Ultra-lightweight high (index D) cut resistant liner
- Blue nitrile for water repellence across the whole hand
- A further textured nitrile coating for enhanced grip
HOW IT WORKS
Despite the fleece liner, this glove offers greater flexibility when compared to others on the market. The liner is also fully stitched into the glove in answer to common frustrations with thermal gloves where the liner comes out as you doff the gloves.
